I'd like to thank the boyz from Idol Eyez( Ted and Mike) for coming out in the hellacious weather to see us at the Oddfellows last night. I know the weather was not too receptive to driving last night. It was a shock, but a welcome one to see some fellow musicians at our gig...that was our first time at Oddfellows...an interesting place, definately an Odd stage, kind of longish....but, servicable none the less. We had some interersting dancers, one fell down,another was wild and crazy....

Sax Player/Vocalist looking for a band

Sax player (including backup vocals and some lead if needed) looking for a band. I have played with a handful of local acts at local venues... 13th Ave, Marco's, Great American Casino, Muckleshoot Casino. Mostly classic rock, disco and some horn driven tunes - 60's, 70's, 80's. No preference as far as whether it is in a horn section or the only horn. I live north (Marysville area). Shoot me an email and we will see if it can work out.

To Sound Techs, do you carry liabiliaty insurance?

Hi,

This is basically the same thing I posted to bands, but appears it may be the sound tech companies that they are requiring insurance from. Do any of your sound techs carry 1 million dollar liability insurance to cover your equipment if it falls on someone for example? Let me know.

Hey rockstars,

We were hired to perform at a private party at a hotel this December and the hotel has asked me to send them proof of 1 million liability insurance to perform in their hotel. I have never been asked to provide insurance for something like this in all the years I have been performing. Do any of you carry insurance or is this something that sound techs carry?

We have all grown up playing copies of the real thing until we could afford it.
I was familiar with the "Lyle" brand and never really saw a good one until now.
I did some reading and found out that "Lyle" was the only brand that was actually licenesed by Gibson to make their copies.
I picked up this Hummingbird 12 string today for $25 and it is really nice. The neck is absolutley pimp!!! Straight as an arrow and with a nice fret job. The top has zero bowing...

Modeling Amps

Well after talking about getting a new modeling type amp for a while, for convenience and old age lazyness ...I went and ordered one.
I ordered the new Peavey Vypyr tube 120 2X12 combo. It`s got a modeling front end but the distortions themselves are analog based (trans tube) with a tube power amp out the back. I got the Sampera II footswitch which is needed if you want more than 4 presets used live. I got the 3 year extended warranty as I`m not sure about these amps, as to their...
